Table and wine bottle

...for me, this was a difficult project - I have tried and failed, on numerous occasions, to capture an image of this subject without background distractions and without too much focus drift.   I am happy with this version.

The Bridge at Lochdon - Isle of Mull

...this bridge spans a very narrow stretch of sea.   At the time of taking this shot the tide was rising and this narrow channel was alive with mullet and sea trout.   Despite a plethora of "private fishing" notices in the vicinity, no-one could tell me from where to obtain a fishing license for this water!

Snowdrops - by the wayside

The snowdrops of East Devon have varied widely in the timing of their appearances in recent times - sometimes just before Christmas and, latterly, not until late February.   Perhaps a botanist or a climatologist might be able to explain this phenomenon?

Blackrock Cottage - Glen Coe

...as if you had not gathered by now - Blackrock Cottage is one of my very favourite photographic subjects.   The ever-changing light throughout the seasons in the Scottish Highlands means that one can never claim to have captured the definitive image of this iconic landmark.   Well, that's my excuse anyway!
